In charge of promotions of each events to get the surfers on board and the public to attend
Jerry Lehman was a former national professional competitor in the PSSA events and ASAP Pro-am events in the 80's and 90's while keeping a high paying day job. In 1992 Lehman started the ASAP Pro-am events , Association of surfing amateurs and professionals which was the first Pro -am tour put together where Pro and young amateurs kids where competing in the same events. The ASAP tour ran until 2002 until it was sold to the PSTA tour than was his competitor at the time. The events were fun and competitive and had many sponsors over the year and in 2001 it became the Fosters tour where every event was a WQS 1 star event to qualify for the world tour.
Its time for a national surfing tour where we actually have a Pro US Champion each year and with the wave parks being built around the country we can expand to many marketing to spread the stoke of surfing.
